The Duchess of Markham
This building that it is often used in our brochures showing an old Tudor Style building. In actual fact, the building is not particularly remarkable from an historical point of view. It was an old frame residence that had been covered with Insulbrick. In the early 70s there was an artist who lived there, and he thought the Tudor look would be nice. When he moved, it became a British Style Pub called the Duchess of Markham, and has now become a landmark in town.
