Community Mount Joy

This “Ontario Vernacular” home was built for Isiah (Israel) David Ramer and his wife, Elizabeth (Monkhouse). Isiah (1862-1951) was a son of A.B. Ramer, owner of the furniture factory on the north side of David Street. The factory later became the first school in Mount Joy. In 1928, Wilmot Schell built the barn behind the house.
