Built in 1872, this Gothic Revival one-room schoolhouse is very well preserved. Originally located south of its present site, the school served the population of Brown’s Corners. Today, the schoolhouse serves as a York Region School Board living-history site dating to 1900. The school was closed in 1971, restored and reopened in 1993 to serve as the York Region District School Boards's museum and archive storage.
